A Jar Full of Gratitude

Image
My students created a gratitude jar and filled it with heartfelt thank-you messages. Through this activity, they learned to notice positive actions, express appreciation, and share kindness with one another. The gratitude jar became a meaningful reminder that small words of thanks can make a big difference in our school community.

January & Gratitude

πŸ’› January & Gratitude πŸ’› Small words. Big feelings. Grateful hearts. January is the perfect time to slow down, reflect and focus on what truly matters. This month, our classroom turned into a space of gratitude, reflection and positive thinking. Through creative activities, students practised English while expressing thankfulness for the people, moments and little things that make their lives brighter. 🌿 Gratitude Branch 🌿 Our classroom grew a very special branch — a Gratitude Branch . Students wrote messages of gratitude in English on colourful circular notes and carefully hung them on a real branch placed in our classroom. Each note represented something they were thankful for: family, friends, health, school moments or simple everyday joys. Little by little, the branch filled with kind words and positive feelings. ...

Hearts on Every Branch

Today was all about gratitude in my classroom. Each student identified a person or a moment they truly cherish, then wrote a heartfelt message on a paper heart. Seeing their words of thanks for family, friends, and simple joys blooming on our tree is a wonderful reminder of their kindness. I couldn’t be prouder of these big-hearted students!

Celebrating International Thank You Day at the 1st Primary School of Gargaliani

Image
This year, our school celebrated  International Thank You Day  by exploring the power of  gratitude . Students learned different ways to express thanks in English and shared what they are grateful for. We brought our ideas to life by decorating a  gratitude tree  in the school yard with colorful  post-it notes , creating a beautiful display of appreciation and positivity.  In a simple yet meaningful activity, students created their own gratitude jars and filled them with notes of appreciation, joy, and positive moments from their daily lives. Each jar became a personal collection of things they are thankful for, family, friends, achievements and even small moments that made them smile. As students wrote and shared their thoughts, the activity encouraged reflection and mindfulness. It reminded them that gratitude doesn’t have to come from big events. By the end of the activity, the colourful jars stood as a symbol of positivity and self-awareness.

🎧 A Wonderful Online Session with Our Students! 🎢 Selin Berk

Image
As part of our project, we held an engaging online meeting in which our students actively participated. They had the opportunity to introduce themselves and their schools, connecting with friends from different countries. After the introductions, we moved on to our collaborative activity and created something truly special together. Using a shared Chrome Music Lab link, we designed a heart shape and wrote the word “BEATS”, turning them into a rhythmic musical composition. It was both fun and educational — an unforgettable experience for all our students. This meaningful session once again strengthened our intercultural communication and digital collaboration skills . πŸŒπŸ’«
