Our Talking Avatars Project 🎨🎙️ Cyprus Team

Image
⭐ 💖 🎶 🌈 💫 🎨 ✨ 🎵 💕 🌟 🎈 🎤 This month, our class explored creativity and technology in a fun way — by designing our very own digital avatars ! Each student imagined their character and used Copilot to bring it to life with colors, style, and personality. But the magic didn’t stop there! Using ChatterPix , students gave their avatars a voice — literally! They recorded short introductions in English so that each avatar could speak for itself. Through this playful project, students practiced English speaking skills, digital literacy, and self-expression. They were excited to see how their voices and creations came together in one joyful video. Below you can watch our final video — a cheerful presentation of our talking avatars. Each one is unique, full of character, and ready to say hello! Click here to watch our avatars talking! Created by D2 class with 💡 creativity and 💻 technology — powered by Copilot & C...

Cypriot team — October Heartbeats

Image
💗💞💖 Logo Contest • Heartbeats at School • European Code Week 🎨 Logo Contest At first, the students recorded their ideas on Mentimeter so that everyone in the class could share and get inspired by each other’s thoughts. This process encouraged active participation and gave every student a voice, making the activity truly democratic. Then, they began working on their logo designs . Some worked individually, others collaborated in pairs or small groups, while a few preferred to work digitally. Throughout this stage, the students showed great enthusiasm and creativity, enjoying the opportunity to express their ideas. Our proposal Once all the designs were completed, we held a class vote to select the logo that would represent our proposal. This final step reinforced the democratic process and allowed the children to feel proud and involved in the decision-making. Mentimeter 💞 Heartbeats at Scho...

Exploring Feelings Through AI Art

Image
As part of our ongoing focus on emotional well-being, students at the 1st Primary School of Gargaliani 🇬🇷 were invited to pause and reflect on a simple but powerful question: "How do I feel in different school situations?".  From arriving at school in the morning, to working in groups, presenting in class or facing challenges, each moment in the school day can spark a wide range of emotions. To help students explore and express these personal experiences, we turned to the world of AI art. Through this creative journey, we continue to support emotional literacy giving voice to the feelings that shape our daily experiences at school.

My team is proud to have received the Code Week Certificate! 💻🎉

This recognition celebrates my students’ creativity, teamwork, and enthusiasm for coding and digital learning. It’s been an exciting journey exploring fun and innovative ways to develop our digital skills while connecting with others across Europe! 🌍

Cracking the Code: Lithuanian Team Decoded a Turkish Team’s Secret Message!

Image
Today my students successfully decoded a secret message created by our Turkish partner team using the Caesar Cipher! 🔐 They not only cracked the code but also learned how ancient ciphers were used to protect information — a fun and clever way to combine history, logic, and teamwork! 🇹🇷🇱🇹

Exploring the Art of Cryptography with the Caesar Cipher!

Image
As part of the 2025 Code Week Code Challenge event, the students of Merkez İsmet İnönü Secondary School embarked on an exciting journey into the world of cryptography. They learned how to create encrypted messages using the Caesar Cipher method and had fun decoding a secret message specially prepared for them. Through this engaging activity, students not only improved their problem-solving and logical thinking skills but also discovered how coding and encryption can be both educational and entartaining!

Code week activities by Selin Teacher's students

🔐 We’re celebrating Europe Code Week! 💻💫 As part of our Heartbeats Project, our students explored the Caesar Cipher encryption technique! Through this activity, we not only improved our coding and decoding skills, but also wrote positive messages for a meaningful purpose. ✨ 🇹🇷 Our message was: “Respect elders.” We encrypted it and sent it to our Lithuanian partners, then tried to decode their secret messages too! 🌍💌 We had fun and learned together — because coding is not just about technology, it’s also a way to share values and kindness! ❤️

Dot Day celebrated in Türkiye

Image
We celebrated International Dot Day, inspired by the wonderful book “The Dot” by Peter H. Reynolds. The story reminds us that everyone has creativity inside — all it takes is just one small dot to begin! In our classroom, students expressed themselves through colorful dots, creative drawings, and inspiring messages. Each dot represented confidence, courage, and self-expression. To make our celebration even more exciting, we brought our dots to life using the Quiver app!Students were amazed to see their artworks turn into 3D moving dots, exploring creativity through augmented reality. Through this activity, we learned that no idea is too small to make a difference. Like Vashti in The Dot, we discovered that believing in ourselves can lead to amazing things! 🌈✨ We had so much fun celebrating creativity, imagination, and the power of “making your mark”! 💫

Greek Team designing the HEARTBEATS Logo

Image
In October we began our HEARTBEATS journey with a creative brainstorming session focused on designing the project's official logo.    Students designed logos both on paper and digitally, using symbols like hearts, waves and globes to reflect the project's spirit.  🇬🇷

Feeling-focused and creative!

My students transformed their school emotions into AI art using  DALL·E , exploring how different situations make them feel and expressing their thoughts visually.

Students Explore the Caesar Cipher

Image
My students explored one of the oldest encryption techniques called the  Caesar Cipher  and created a coded message for  Turkish partner team ! It was exciting to see them apply their problem-solving skills and have fun while learning about historical cryptography.

Code of Heartbeats

Image
We are celebrating  Code Week  with a creative and inspiring event — the  Caesar Cipher: Code of Heartbeats Challenge ! As part of this activity, the Greek team  🇬🇷  explored one of history’s oldest and most fascinating encryption techniques — the  Caesar Cipher . Named after Julius Caesar, who used it to protect his private messages, this simple yet powerful cipher shifts each letter of the alphabet by a fixed number to create a secret code. Using this ancient technique, the Greek team encrypted a heartfelt message for the Swedish team. Through teamwork, curiosity and empathy, the message of positivity was revealed showing that even old methods of communication can spread kindness and emotional well-being in a creative and meaningful way. Together, we celebrate the power of code to connect hearts and minds! 💖
