International eTwinning project ‘Heartbeats’

  The project  “HEARTBEATS”  has been awarded the  eTwinning National Quality Label . This recognition confirms the high quality of project implementation, successful international collaboration, the use of innovative teaching methods, and active student engagement throughout the project activities. Sincere thanks to all project partners for their cooperation, shared ideas, and contribution to the successful implementation of the project.

 As our eTwinning journey comes to an end, my students took a moment to reflect on the wonderful experiences they shared with their international partners. They wrote and posted heartfelt farewell messages, expressing their gratitude, friendship and best wishes for the future. Thank you for the beautiful memories and collaboration!

 The Lithuanian team chose one letter from the phrase HEARTBEATS NATURE and focused on the letter T. The students selected the word TACT and, working outdoors, used natural materials such as leaves, stones, twigs, and flowers to creatively form the word in a natural setting.

Lithuanian team worked together to design a collaborative poster titled “One Heart, Many Voices.” They suggested and selected a single motivational phrase focused on self-care, self-love, and encouragement.

Lithuanian students created their own personal self-care and encouragement posters, thoughtfully reflecting on their strengths, feelings, and ways they take care of themselves. Each poster highlights positive self-talk, personal achievements, and strategies for staying motivated and confident.

 Students proudly completed  “The Mirror of Kind Words.”  Through this activity, they reflected on their strengths and shared kind messages with one another, raising awareness of the importance of self-encouragement and helping them develop this essential skill. It encouraged confidence, positivity, and respect for themselves and others.

On Safer Internet Day, my students discussed the importance of using the internet responsibly and safely. Using smart devices and the “Mentimeter” platform, they shared the main purposes for which they use the internet and identified possible online risks. They also took part in an interactive “Kahoot” quiz to test their knowledge about safe online behaviour and created word clouds reflecting key ideas of safe internet use.

Lithuanian team became familiar with the artist Wassily Kandinsky and the principles of abstract art. They developed their ability to express emotions through colours and shapes by creating abstract hearts inspired by his artistic style.

My students created a gratitude jar and filled it with heartfelt thank-you messages. Through this activity, they learned to notice positive actions, express appreciation, and share kindness with one another. The gratitude jar became a meaningful reminder that small words of thanks can make a big difference in our school community.

 Today was all about gratitude in my classroom. Each student identified a person or a moment they truly cherish, then wrote a heartfelt message on a paper heart. Seeing their words of thanks for family, friends, and simple joys blooming on our tree is a wonderful reminder of their kindness. I couldn’t be prouder of these big-hearted students!

My students organized a heartfelt Christmas volunteer activity to spread joy in the community. They baked delicious Christmas cookies, decorated them with creativity and festive spirit, and carefully wrapped each treat with love. After preparing the cookies, the students decided to share them with older members of our community, hoping to brighten their day with a small but meaningful gesture.

Project teachers created their  Kindness Ambassador IDs   to highlight that kindness goes beyond a single occasion—it is a way of living. With these IDs, we commit to embodying the values of our eTwinning project daily, serving as examples and protectors of a welcoming and positive school environment.

My students visited the Children’s and Youth Department of the M. Daukša Public Library in Kėdainiai District. There, they participated in an integrated educational activity titled  “Colorful Emotions in the Rhythm of Our Hearts” , conducted as part of the international eTwinning project  “HEARTBEATS: Cultures, Rhythms & Well-being Across Europe.”  Through games, reading, and creative activities, they explored how emotions have their own colors and affect heart rhythms, gaining insight into feelings, thoughts, and behavior while developing self-awareness and communication skills.

Kindness for the Earth: Clean-Up Day  (Monday) The Lithuanian team, celebrating Kindness Week, actively took part in environmental clean-up activities, giving their time, effort, and meaningful contributions.   Creative “Kindness Hands” (Tuesday) The students created their own “kindness hands,” decorated them and finished a sentence “I will be a good friend…” by their own ideas.   No One Eats Alone: Spreading Kindness Sharing Snacks (Wednesday)  Lithuanian team's students participated in the “No One Eats Alone” activity by sharing snacks, making sure everyone felt included and appreciated, and spreading friendship and kindness throughout the school .   Sweet Acts of Kindness: Pie Day (Thursday) My students took part in the initiative  ' Pie Day'   by baking and sharing delicious pies, spreading joy and kindness to others, while also raising funds for children who are ill, socially vulnerable, or in need of support, helping to fulfill their dreams and i...

Lithuanian team's students took part in voting for the project logo, selecting their five favourite designs from a total of fifteen proposals.

  This recognition celebrates my students’ creativity, teamwork, and enthusiasm for coding and digital learning. It’s been an exciting journey exploring fun and innovative ways to develop our digital skills while connecting with others across Europe! 🌍

Today my students successfully decoded a secret message created by our Turkish partner team using the Caesar Cipher! 🔐 They not only cracked the code but also learned how ancient ciphers were used to protect information — a fun and clever way to combine history, logic, and teamwork! 🇹🇷🇱🇹

 My students transformed their school emotions into AI art using  DALL·E , exploring how different situations make them feel and expressing their thoughts visually. 

 My students explored one of the oldest encryption techniques called the  Caesar Cipher  and created a coded message for  Turkish partner team ! It was exciting to see them apply their problem-solving skills and have fun while learning about historical cryptography.
